Alpacas to Sponsor

Daunte has several friends in his herd that he thinks you will love. Please note, the chosen alpaca will remain on our farm and will continue to be under the ownership of Alpenwood Alpacas. Your sponsorship contribution will help keep your favorite alpaca well fed and cared for. At the end of your sponsorship you can continue to live out your dream by renewing for another term or pick another alpaca to love and support.

Hi! My name is Sabra. I was born on October 12, 2007 and came to Alpenwood Alpacas when I was 3 years old as part of its foundation herd. I was the perfect mom for Laurie’s venture into alpaca breeding.  I have had three beautiful crias (baby alpacas) that I took wonderful care of and she didn’t have to worry at all about them. Now I get to enjoy the other girls' crias as I live out my life in retirement. Because of my cool, laid back disposition I was chosen as a 4H alpaca the summer of 2023 and participated in the Carver County Fair llama and alpaca show..

Hi! My name is Meadow Gold–Meadow for short. When I was born on June 18, 2019  my coat looked like the golden waves of a wheat field.  My fleece is a luxuriant medium fawn color and takes on the fineness from my award winning mother. Alpacas communicate using a humming sound but mine is a variation on the theme by putting a question mark emphasis at the end. It always brings a smile to those who take me for a walk. I am just starting to be used as a herdsire on the farm. I hope to pass along that super fineness that made my mother soar to the top 1% of all the alpacas in the country.

Hi! My name is Radiant Sunrise. My mom’s name is Morning Sunrise because she was born in the morning which is unusual because most alpacas give birth around noon.  True to her name she gave birth to me on the morning of July 31, 2022 .  My mom is shorter than some of the others in the herd and I took on her vertically challenged stature but in my mind I am 10 feet tall! I have no problem standing up for myself with the other boys in my herd. I may be small but I have an amazing amount of luxuriant fleece that supersedes some of the other bigger alpacas.
